Edmonds Kind of 4th is Back!

I'm a mom, wife, podcast junkie & Realtor.  In this blog, we talk about key real estate topics and explore what it means to create a life we love living.

Hi! I'm Kaylynn

I’m so excited to have one of our most cherished community events back this year: the ‘Edmonds Kind of 4th’! 🇺🇸

Edmonds, WA has always been a big draw on the 4th with small town charm that is indicative of the Edmonds community. It’s one of the many reasons we have loved living in this area.

The day typically kicks off with with a 5k run that starts in downtown Edmonds and loops it’s way through Woodway. We love to grab coffee at Walnut street coffee and chevron runners as they make their final push towards the finish line. Walnut always has fun music and other activities happening right outside of their coffee shop. Be prepared for long lines, but the music and the incredible coffee make it worth it.

Without a doubt our favorite activity of the day is the kids parade when kids (& their adults) get to show off their elaborately decorated bikes & mini floats, and throw all kinds of candy & goodies to eager spectators lining the streets.

Unfortunately, the kids parade has been canceled this year.

The main parade is the kid of parade you’d see in a movie about a small town – it’s all the small town goodness you can stand.

The fireworks show is the perfect cap to the end the day. If you’re up for being right in the action, be sure to bring blankets for sitting in the grass and a few to snuggle in when it gets cold. The show doesn’t start until 10pm. Also, bring some cash for the many food booths.

Go to the Edmonds Kind of 4th page for all the details on what to expect for this years’ festivities.
